A quote from Representative Doug Bereuter (R) Nebraska:
"I've reached the conclusion, retrospectively, now that the inadequate intelligence and faulty conclusions are being revealed, that all things being considered, it was a mistake to launch that military action," Rep. Doug Bereuter wrote to constituents. "Left unresolved for now is whether intelligence was intentionally misconstrued to justify military action."
Bereuter, 64, is a senior member of the House International Relations Committee and vice chairman of the House intelligence committee.
Does this mean that the Republicans are starting to realize that thier ship is sinking? Who knows. I think its interesting that a conservative has come out and said what alot of people in this country have been thinking over the last year or so.
What will this mean in the long run though? Probably not much. We'll see how long it takes The O'Reilly Factor, Rush, Hannity and Combs to sink thier teeth into this guy. Who knows what they'll dig up on this guy, but I give him 2 weeks before someone announces he has an illegitimate love child with Freddie Mercury.
